Up to Nothing

Well we've been stuck at home for the last few days. Blake has been sick - I think it's a virus as his only symptom is a fever. The boys have played in the pool, with trucks etc but I think they're going a little stir crazy. Sad huh? This morning Braden came up to me and asked me if his tooth was gone, I replied "Yes" then he says "I think I ate it with my bagel". So, we're 2 for 2. Maybe I'll get to see the next baby tooth that falls out!

My Little Man

Truitt loves Spiderman...I found him sleeping with his slippers today, they're too small for him to wear. Ugh, so sweet....and quiet!

The Zoo

We ventured to the zoo this morning. It was warm but breezy so not too bad. Blake was just along for the ride, he was GREAT. I won't be able to take Braden to the zoo much once he starts school...it will be weird to go without him (but I'll get used to it!).

Rockstar

A friend of mine posted this article, it came from a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) magazine...thought it was cute.

I live the life of a rock star. It's true! I have wild hair and make-up with frequent costume changes.

Everywhere I go I have an entourage. People are constantly yelling my name. I look out into the crowd and they're actually crying for me, reaching for me.

I have no privacy. I'm watched when I shower, when I'm cooking, even when I use the restroom...for my own protection, I'm sure.

When I go places I must do so quickly before my fans get out of control and start a riot. Every night a different guy wants to sleep with me. Each of them seems genuinely hurt when I turn him away.

Occasionally I get dirty undergarments whirled at me with a whoop and a smile. It's even hard sometimes to walk through my own home without someone spotting me and trying to grab my legs or my clothing.

Oh and don't forget about the stalkers! You know those crazed fans that follow you everywhere? Why, I can't even talk on the phone in the pantry without an eye or two peeping in at me.

Yes it's true - I live the life of a rock star!"

Blake - 6 months

Blake had his 6 month checkup today. he is 17lbs and 27 inches long (I believe? It is hard to listen and retain when I have 2 other kids with me). Anyway, healthy and strong. Crawling and sitting up(still a little unsteady)...he's fun to watch.

Summer Fun

We went to the lake for a few days, it was nice and relaxing as usual. Braden lost his first tooth but handed it over to me in the lake and it is of course at the bottom of the lake somewhere! He said "Ugh, now I won't get any money" but we wrote a note and the tooth fairy still delivered :)

Hair Cut

Well I cut Braden's hair - I mean CUT it. He wanted it buzzed...so he got it. Yikes...anyway he seems to be happy with it AND it will grow out (thank goodness).

pool time

We went to the Y pool this evening . It's nice because I can check Blake in the day care and take the boys to the pool. At 5 the heat isn't too bad....the boys had fun.

Kurt

Thank you friends for calling me! Kurt and the others that are currently in Honduras are fine. I spoke with him yesterday and the were stuck in the hotel since the roads were closed and there were military/army on the streets. Today they did get to go out to the village...so that's a good sign, roads are open etc. Hopefully everything there will stay low key and they'll be back home safely on the 4th.

Father's Day

We had a relaxing day...finished up the day by going to Berry Hill. It was nice...
