Little Laughs
I came outside today to check on Braden and I found him sporting his beanie in summer weather, looking a bit "thugish". Later I snapped this picture of him singing "This is the Day" but looking like he was throwing gang signs. Just thought these were humerous!

Rough week
Well we've been accident prone this week. At the zoo Monday Truitt shut his finger in a hinged door and it looks like the fingernail will eventually fall off - ick! At first he was very aware he was hurt but now he seems back to his normal crazy self. He likes his bandaids :)
Today Braden fell while riding his bike and somehow landed on his face. He has a scrape, fat lip and his front 3 teeth look a bit out of place. After some crying, consoling and a popsicle he was back on his bike and off looking for toads. I have a feeling that with 3 boys this is just the beginning!

So BIG
Each day I look at Braden and I feel he is growing so big so fast! During the last few days the kids have been off school so Braden has had his playmates around during the day. He has been in and out playing with the "big" kids and in my eyes, becoming one. He seems so independant although he of course leans on me for all the essentials - juice, snack, dinner, back scrathes etc. Yesterday he came through the door and announced he wanted to be a paper boy and asked me how he could do it on his bike :) He is a great big brother (when he's not aggravating) and often refers to himself in the 3rd person as "Bo Bo" which is what Truitt calls him these days ("come see Bo Bo Truey"). He is excited about his new little brother and wants me to take pictures of him holding the baby (in specific places, it's funny). Lastly one of his new sayings is "Mom, it's been a day" quietly I think he's just taken the words right out of my mouth! I look at him and feel happy he is growing into a sweet, loving little "big" boy.

After the Storm
Well we made it through the storm without any damage to our home, thank you Lord! We had some fallen branches and were missing a few shingles (6 to be exact). Of course my husband (who never sits still) had our yard cleaned and cleared by Sunday afternoon. We lost power at about 6:30pm Friday and didn't get it back until Tuesday afternoon. We did have a generator which made things much easier as we were able to run the fridge, fans and tv and with the AWESOME weather we didn't even miss the a/c (well, a little but not much). Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
