Ring Bearer

Truitt was the ring bearer in my step sister Lisa's wedding over the weekend...man he was cute!

Blake is now pushing upon his hands and knees, I suspect he'll be crawling by 6 months. He's a busy little guy!

Reminder

For those of you who stay home with your kids - do you ever need a reminder as to why you do it? I am having one of those days....and it's only 10am. Sometimes I need validation and I don't always get it. I am with my kids the WHOLE day. As I calm down (at this very moment) and look around I see the many blessings in my life....there's my validation. Whew - I feel a little better now :)

Summer

Summer's here and we started it off at the lake. We all had fun, especially the kids - it was a nice relaxing weekend.

Preschool Graduation

Braden had his last day of preschool on Thursday. Braden has been at this preschool since he was 2, it's hard to believe this will be his last time there. Actually Truitt is now enrolled so he'll visit occasionally. For the last day they had a school program first, he sang a few songs and dressed up with is class, next was the class party and then they had a gradutaion ceremony. Wow! This means kindergarten is next...I'm happy for him but honestly a little sad for myself. I'll do my best to enjoy our summer together :)

Family Photo

Braden is the "shooting star" in his class this week, they post a few things about him and ask for a family photo. Hummmm, we attempted one at Easter and I couldn'f find it anywhere on my pc. Below is my pathetic attempt at a "family" photo. I have added "get a GOOD family photo" to my 'to do' list :)

4 months

Blake is 4 months old today...time is passing quickly! As I put away newborn clothes and he gets bigger my heart aches a little but I try to focus on some things I can look forward to as they all get bigger. My heart sometimes says I'd like another baby but my body (and my husband) screams no :) Anyway all that to say we went to the dr this morning, he is 14lbs 5 oz and 25 1/4 inches long - happy and healthy!

Shelly

We found this sweet turtle and named her Shelly. She has such a pretty shell and belly...but as I was looking up how to care for them I read about how little turtles can carry salmonella. The CDC doesn't reccomend having them with children under 5 (maybe I'm the only one who didn't know that?). So Shelly stayed with us for 2 days and then we took her to a good home, lots of trees, water and plenty of other turtle friends.

The boys had fun dying eggs - we did it outside, good thing to because it was messy!

3 months

My sweet boy is 3 months old. He is holding his head up real well and likes to be on his tummy. Last week he slept from 9:45 to 6:30, nights are getting better :) I'm not sure why I still look sleepy all day though?!
