Going on 8 months...

Blake will be 8 months old soon - time has passed so quickly! I had a newborn session today and while I had my gear out I took a few photos of my happy baby :)

Kindergarten

Today, along with many other friends, Braden went to kindergarten. He did great - hopped on the bus and rode off, no problem. I met him up at school and we walked to class together. He sat down at his table and started playing with the blocks, laughing...my que to leave. We said our goodbyes (he gave me a kiss - awe) and my day started off as I left the classroom saying a little prayer for my sweet boy. What next? I took Blake to the doctor - he has an ear infection. The boys and I had lunch with friends, got the car inspected, went to the library, went by the bank, by the cleaners, got a prescription etc. Hello?! Braden was home before I knew it! As he got off the bus I was told "Mom, I didn't want you to be here when I got off the bus, I wanted to walk home by myself". I said "ok, I'll stay home tomorrow." :)

Summer Days...

I let Braden choose what he wanted to do on his last "official" summer day without school - he chose the zoo. It was HOT but we managed not to melt!

8 years

Kurt and I have been married for 8 years today. We've gone from a family of two...

to a family of 5 and I'm surrounded by boys! I love Kurt and our sweet family!

New Braunfels

We took a short trip - started out driving to New Braunfels. We had a cabin on the river, it was nice and we all had a good time. Here are a few photos I'll post more...I'm sure you just can't wait :)

Texas Wildlife Ranch - the boys are throwing food and got to pet a few animals. Barden had a close encounter with an Ostrich, he was pecked at a few time but survived!

Mana

Truitt has a little love affair with my youngest step sister Lara (Mana). Each day, sometimes every other day, we have this conversation:

Truitt: "Where's Mana?"
Mom: "She's in Virginia"
Truitt: "Jinya?"
Mom: "Yes". "Do you love Lara?"
Truitt: "Yes"

Up to Nothing

Well we've been stuck at home for the last few days. Blake has been sick - I think it's a virus as his only symptom is a fever. The boys have played in the pool, with trucks etc but I think they're going a little stir crazy. Sad huh? This morning Braden came up to me and asked me if his tooth was gone, I replied "Yes" then he says "I think I ate it with my bagel". So, we're 2 for 2. Maybe I'll get to see the next baby tooth that falls out!

My Little Man

Truitt loves Spiderman...I found him sleeping with his slippers today, they're too small for him to wear. Ugh, so sweet....and quiet!

The Zoo

We ventured to the zoo this morning. It was warm but breezy so not too bad. Blake was just along for the ride, he was GREAT. I won't be able to take Braden to the zoo much once he starts school...it will be weird to go without him (but I'll get used to it!).
