Truitt had his first scrimmage this weekend. He still has lots to learn but he's so cute in uniform...they all were!

Crazy Blake
I went to a shower on Sunday night, came home and the boys were in bed. When I got Blake in the morning I noticed he had a fat lip. I asked Kurt what happened..."I don't know, I saw a bit of blood on his lip and noticed it was swollen, he didn't cry whatever he did". I then laid him down and looked in his mouth and GASP - he was missing a tooth and it was all black and blue on his gums! Well upon closer inspection the tooth was still there but it was pushed back and up into his gum. It looks like his tooth is just coming in when of course it already had. So off to the dentist. Of course he asked me what happened and I got to reply "I don't know" - nice ;) He tells me that when they're younger like Blake the tooth usually comes back down on it's own. I am praying this is what happens and that there is no infection or pulling of teeth at the age of 2!

It's a GIRL!
I wanted to let you all in on some BIG news in the Box house. We are currently in the process of adopting a little girl from China. This is something God has placed on both of our hearts for some time now. Through much prayer and consideration we are stepping out in faith and moving forward with the adoption process. We don't have too much to share right now but we have been through the first round of paperwork and are currently waiting to do our homestudy visits. The wait in China is currently topping 5 years but we are adopting a waiting child. This means the child is either older or has a physical/mental "defect".
So for our family this means 2 things:
1. Our little girl will most likely have a cleft lip/palate and will have surgery shortly after she arrives home.
2. Our wait will be considerably less, possibly 1 year.
We would appreciate prayers for our little girl. She has already been born so my prayer is that wherever she is that she is safe, cared for and loved :)

CELEBRATE
We had family over to celebrate Blake's 2ond birthday. He had fun running around and playing and we enjoyed our time with family. He liked looking and poking at his cake but didn't take one bite.

Blake is 2!
My sweet little boy is turning two. He is both different from his brothers but very much the same. He is not nearly as complient and gets very irritated when he doesn't get his way! On the other hand he is also very content, plays well on his own or tagging along with his brothers. He loves 'choo choos', diggers, making Truitt laugh, the sandbox and all things boy. I am thankful for Blake and love every bit of him!
PS. As I am publishing this post I turn around and he is on the chair putting his fingers in the pretty cake I just decorated! I take him down, wash his hands and he immediately proceeds to throw himself on the floor. Gotta love it! Just a few hours and he can have at it :)

Thanksgiving - part 2
We went to Pipe Creek for the second half of our trip. The boys had fun riding bikes, feeding Danny boy, riding the go cart, playing in the sandbox and climbing trees.
Kurt and his Dad worked on their old go cart and got it running - Braden was VERY pleased. He was timid at first but quickly got comfortable with speed!
tree climbing...
