Ebay

I'm not a big ebay shopper but Truitt has heard about this 'ebay' from his big brother...who heard from a friend who got his Star Wars lego men off ebay. I heard Truitt talking away and just had to record his sweet voice.

Did I mention this sweet boy just had a birthday? I'm slow on the posts but I'll catch up soon!

The Party

Braden had a handful of friends over to celebrate his birthday. Everyone got light sabers and that was seriously all the entertainment these boys needed! They did an obstacle course, fought Darth Vader, battled each other, played legos, ate cake and ice cream and played some more. Ahhhh, the party reminded me of mine when I was little (minus all the play fighting etc), simple but fun. I was SO thankful it did not rain, they wanted to be outside most of the party!

Excitement when Tyler defeated DV.
Braden wanted a light saber cake...he thought it was neat, that's all that counts :)

Braden is 7

S.E.V.E.N.
I can't even say how fast time has gone by...I remember working from home with him by my side, my little buddy. He has now grown into my big boy with no signs of slowing down! He is doing so well in first grade, yesterday he came home and showed me all of his 100's - so proud of himself. He definitely thrives on words of affirmation. Braden is a wonderful big brother, protecting Blake and roughing up Truitt (who loves it!). He loves a good back scratch from his mom and will tell me he loves me when I least expect it (music to my ears). I am so proud of the sweet boy he is and I look forward to the many more stages that life will bring. I'm savoring these moments with our precious boys God has given us!

Driving the tractor at Paige...not too long after this was taken Blake was in the trailer going for a ride :)
Chasing the kite tails...

Braden enjoys playing in the sandbox, dirt rocks...you name it. He'd prefer that over video games any day!

Braden wanted Oreo balls for his birthday, we'll do cake at the party.
Happy 7th birthday to my first born son!

Halloween

2 Jedi's and a pirate....

Lots of 'battling' happening around here lately. Truitt is constantly asking me "Mom, will you battle with me?". This can be with star wars legos figures, action figures or with light sabers :)

We went trick or treating with cousins.

We made a trip to the pumpkin patch again this year :) I gave up on a group photo real quick....just got what I could!

Dewberry Farms

I'm not a big fan but Truitt has never been....and since it's not about me I decided to go. I met up with some frineds from the Moms@Second group. We brought Truitt's little friend Natalie along, as you can see it's a pretty sweet friendship. I still remember when she came to play at our house and I heard her ask Truitt "Where are your dress up clothes?"...he was speechless :)

baby chicks...love this photo!

Blake...tossing pumpkins

Random...

We went to a local parade a few weeks ago...and I'm just now posting :)
When the fire trucks and tractors rolled around the boys stood still...all other times they were collecting candy!

Nana was here for the weekend...

Braden had Columbus day off so we went to the zoo. It was a GREAT day, not too hot and not very crowded. The boys got along great so that made it even better!

We decided to go into the bird sanctuary...we rarely do this but it's neat every once in a while. Very pretty inside.

What's the zoo without a train ride?!

The wedding

This is the last post on our vacation....we ended our trip back in England for my cousin Jon's wedding. It was so fun, we were there a day early (Friday) and my Dad and Unlce David picked us up from the airport. It was a short drive to Shepton Mallet. We were able to help set some things up and do whatever was needed of us. My cousin Dan, his wife Suzanne and their boys arrived that day to help too. It was SO GOOD to see my family!

This is the house next door to the Old Mill (my cousins house), on the top floor they have 2 rooms/bathrooms and a full kitchen, we stayed 2 nights. It was so pretty and the owners were fun and friendly.

My handsome cousin...on the phone just before the wedding :)

Pub lunch after the ceremony, everyone met up at the Mill for the reception/celebration later in the afternoon.

The happy couple :)
Jon, Nic and Mr.Dog

On Sunday we helped clean up and then went to visit Nannyberry castle...or what was left of it. After walking through town and visiting a cathedral we headed to the pub for lunch. It was great weather and such a nice way to finish our trip! I miss my cousins so much...can't wait to see them again.

Pine Cove

Braden and I went to mother/son camp at Pine Cove last weekend with Rebecca and Cole. We had a great time! Pine Cove is in Columbus so it was nice not to have to drive too far. We got there a little early so we found our cabin and then went for a walk. It was a good weekend, I had time with my sweet little boy (who doesn't seem so little anymore) and I got to spend time with my sister and nephew!

Friday evening we had dinner, time with the speaker and then we got to build a fort with cardboard boxes, duct tape and sheets. I am not an engineer but we managed to build something that stayed up :) We had popcorn and candy and went over some verses and questions, sweet time - just me and B.
Braden wanted to do the zip line but changed his mind on the count of 3. Needless to say we went (he had a little help!). So after doing the zip line he wans't too happy with me. I believe his words were "I'm not talking to you for the rest of the day Mom". That lasted 3 minutes. I went swimming which made everything right in the world :)

Braden loved kayaking, he was so proud. He get "stuck" and ended up floating/paddling to the edge of the water...but he still loved it!

Braden in front of our cabin
Having a popsicle break while it rained

Riding horses was Braden's favorite part. His horse was named Donut, it seemed fitting since he was S L O W. Every time I looked back Braden was bouncing his feet off his sides and saying "come on Donut"...so funny!

Spain - final post!

Well I never finished my vacation posts.....our last stop in Spain was Pertidilla. This town was SMALL and all there was to it was the 'old town'. It looked like a place they would film a movie - so neat!

Al lof the restaurants were closed - we were there mid-day.

LOVE the window boxes
